Montez Sweat #90, WAS DE/EDR

bio:

Montez Sweat is a defensive end for Washington, drafted in the 1st round (#26 overall) out of Mississippi State in the 2019 draft. He was a first-team All-American in 2018. However, he slipped in the 2019 draft due to an enlarged heart.

attributes:

A well-rounded, 3rd-year edge rusher with long arms and a great first step. He has excellent size and athleticism for his position. In addition, he has an elite College Prospect Score (CPS).

contract:

He is playing on his rookie contract. Washington has a fifth-year option, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2024 (Age 28).

summary:

Montez Sweat is already one of the best all-around edge rushers in the league. He is strong as both a pass rusher and run defender and benefits from playing across from Chase Young, which means he rarely sees double-teams. The Washington d-line is going to be nasty. Expect him to compete for a Top 5 DE/EDR finish in 2021 and dynasty.
