Dynasty IDP Bobby Wagner is IDPE’s #4 dynasty Linebacker in 2021. Seattle Middle Linebacker (MLB) drafted in the 2nd round (#47 overall) out of Utah State in the 2012 draft. Named a first team All-Pro 6 of the last 7 years and a member of the 2010s All-Decade Team.

He has a high end College Prospect Score (CPS) and grades out as at least average in every category of the model available (note: some of the data points used in the model were not available in 2012). Wagner signed a 3 year, $54 mil contract in 2019. He is set to be an unrestricted free agent in the 2023 season. However, he has very little guaranteed money in 2022 and a $20 mil cap hit, so if his play does drop off in 2021 he could be a cap casualty in 2022. There is certainly some risk after this season.
summary:
Dynasty IDP Bobby Wagner is an elite linebacker both in real life and in fantasy. The only concern for Wagner is his age. He will be 31.2 years old at the start of the season and we have already seen his play decline a bit the last couple of years. Expect him to compete as a Top 5 LB in 2021, but the wheels could come off at any time. If your fantasy team is not a contender in 2021, it might be a good idea to trade him.
