strength of schedule:

Chicago has the most difficult schedule for WR in 2021, per PFF. The bye week is Week 10, and the most difficult matchups are Weeks 1 and 11. Baltimore and Green Bay WRs currently look like solid options if you want to stream based on WR matchup those weeks.

contract:

Robinson is currently playing on a franchise tag. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2022.

summary:

Allen Robinson is perennially underappreciated, primarily due to being cursed with poor QB play. He has posted back-to-back strong seasons in Chicago but will be playing with new QBs this year. Andy Dalton is likely to start early in 2021 before rookie Justin Fields inevitably takes over at some point in the season.

Dalton is a low-end starter at this point in his career, but he does have a history of peppering his #1 WR with targets. This bodes well for Robinson since Chicago doesn’t have another legit WR on their roster.

Justin Fields profiles as a smaller Cam Newton. A rushing QB is generally not ideal for a WR’s upside, but Fields does have the potential to be the best QB Robinson has ever played with.

Chicago has the most difficult schedule for WR this year, so Robinson may have a difficult time breaking the Top 10 in 2021. His dynasty outlook is even murkier since he could be playing for a new team in 2022 at age 29. With all of the elite WR talent drafted in the last few years, my guess is Robinson will not be in the Top 5 dynasty rankings next year and may struggle to break the Top 10. If your team is not a contender, this might be a good time to trade him.
