bio:

Dynasty IDP Leonard Williams is IDPE’s #3 dynasty Defensive Tackle in 2021. NYJ 3-4 Defensive End (DE) drafted in the 1st round (#6 overall) out of USC in the 2015 draft. He was traded to NYG halfway into the 2019 season.

attributes:

A versatile 7th year defensive lineman, he has good size and athleticism. Williams has an above average College Prospect Score (CPS), though there were some inputs into the model that were unavailable that would likely have increased his CPS.

big plays:

He had a career year in terms of sacks and stuffs in 2020. If he can repeat in 2021, he will have a high ceiling, especially in fantasy leagues where he has DT eligibility.

contract:

Williams signed a 3 year, $63 mil contract with NYG in 2021. NYG has a potential out prior to the 2023 season. He will be an unrestricted free agent in his age 30 season in 2024.

summary:

Dynasty IDP Leonard Williams had a career year in 2020. He is one of the most versatile and talented defensive lineman in the league; he can play any gap along the defensive line. His film shows plenty of tools, but he also seems to take plays off (though this could aid in the fact that he is never injured).

Likely a regression candidate now that he is not in a contract year, expect him to compete for a top 10 fantasy DT finish in 2021. If he does regress some in 2021, his dynasty stock should begin to decrease.
