bio:

Dynasty IDP Chase Young is IDPE’s #2 dynasty Defensive End / Edge Rusher in 2021. Washington Defensive End (DE) drafted in the 1st round (#2 overall) out of Ohio State in the 2020 draft. A highly decorated collegiate player and unanimous All-American, he was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2020.

attributes:

A smart, relentless 2nd year defensive end. He did not participate in the combine, but his tape shows strong athleticism and he has good size for his position. Young has a high end College Prospect Score (CPS), though some data points were estimated due to missing combine data.

injury:

Missed 1 week in 2020 due to a groin strain.

tackles:

Young nearly broke 50 combined tackles in his rookie year. Therefore, he has a decent floor in fantasy but we’re hoping to see more tackles in year two. He is strong against the run, so this should be achievable.

summary:

Dynasty IDP Chase Young is already one of the best edge defenders in the league after his rookie year. It’s scary to think we haven’t even seen his best football yet. Expect him to compete for the #1 overall DE/EDR in 2021 and dynasty for years to come.
