CPS

IDPE College Prospect Score (CPS) is an algorithm that aims to identify rookies with long-term upside in dynasty fantasy football. The CPS is assigned before the player’s rookie season.

The variables used to calculate the CPS are different for each position, but the general ingredients include:

  • Talent
  • College Production
  • Draft Capital
  • Draft Age
  • Athleticism
  • Physical Measurables

Typical CPS values range between -7.0 to +7.0, depending on the player’s position. Therefore, average rookie prospects have a CPS of 0.0. Players with a negative CPS rarely provide long-term dynasty value. High-end prospects have CPS in the +7.0 to +12.0 range.

The IDPE College Prospect Score for newly drafted rookies will be updated following the draft every year.
